Travel and Dress for your Newborn
Your baby may be ready to go outdoors at around 1 week of age. However, avoid large crowds of people. Dress the baby in the same type of clothes that you are dressed in with one extra layer. IF it is cool, dress him or her warmly. Protect the baby from the sun with hats and tee shirts. Sunscreen is not recommended for children less than 6 months of age.
