Pediatrics by the Sea's Electronic Transition
Effective 01/2011, we will be seeing patients using our new electronic medical records system.
What this means for you:
When you are seen using the new electronic medical records system (EMR), you may also see the medical assistant or the doctor/nurse practitioner using your chart. This is because as we are transitioning over, not all of the medical records are in the computer yet and they may still need to reference the chart to see past visits, lab results or imaging. We are working on scanning in the charts of patients we see on a daily basis, but as you might imagine, that is a task that will take us some time!
You may also notice that we are still having some technical glitches with the system. These glitches are becoming much fewer as we become more adept to the system and as our technical advisors make changes to the system to adapt to the needs of our office. Please have patience with us as we make this transition!
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we transition over to our new electronic medical records system. As always, if you have concerns or suggestions, we would love to hear them.
